E-Business/Internet Technology Strategist

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Economics. Mater’s Degree a plus.

Experience Requirements:

Requires 4-6 years experience in B2C e-commerce, preferably in marketing; client side and/or consulting experience highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

Determines integrated e-commerce solutions including design, technology and marketing services, utilizing business-to-business applications where applicable. Must have exceptional marketing, merchandising and e-commerce management skills. Will provide strategic direction, guidance and thought leadership in marketing efforts. Requires broad experience and familiarity with online customer acquisition and retention, search and affiliate marketing, online advertising, email marketing, website analytics, and website interface design. Must have hands-on experience in online marketing, with a strategic orientation and strong analytical and communication skills.

Provides marketing, merchandising and e-commerce management recommendations. Designs and carries out client site and strategy analysis, assess’ information and suggests solutions. Works directly with clients to help create and identify strategic opportunities and generate interest in relevant products and services. Conducts and publishes research on e-commerce best practices, and on market, consumer, and technology trends. Compiles, tracks and reports individually and collectively on client traffic and sales trends, to be leveraged internally and in Marketing and Sales efforts. Builds client use case histories. Develops client facing presentation materials. Produces written content for eLearning and industry thought leadership activities. Requires extensive knowledge of e-commerce marketing and merchandising, and a demonstrated understanding of client-side e-commerce methodologies, practices and operations. Requires strong verbal and written communication skills including ability to prepare clear and concise client-ready documents, strong interpersonal skills and professionalism, demonstrates empathy and commitment to the client and the ability to succeed by driving and completing projects that have no precedents. Must have a proven ability to manage simultaneous, deadline-driven tasks and projects with limited direction and supervision. Must be highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Adobe Photoshop and HTML a strong plus. Must possess a high tolerance for ambiguity and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
