Facilities Project Manager

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and equivalent professional experience. Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification is preferred.

Experience Requirements:

Requires 6 years of intensive and progressive experience in managing facilities programs, which includes 4 years experience supervising facilities and maintenance personnel. Education may be substituted with 10 years of intensive and progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency levels related to tasks.

Responsibilities:

The Facilities Project Manager is responsible for overall logistics and technical support for facilities infrastructure including real estate, design and construction, maintenance, operating systems and equipment. Develops facilities planning and management plans, while complying with established long and short-term business objectives, policies and procedures.

Assesses cost of ownership for facilities assets, develops and implements strategy to align facilities performance with business requirements. Provides technical support for space optimization, facilities utilization, and develops overall management program for various capital project activities. Additionally, establishes overall project schedules, budgets, and quality standards for all facilities assets. Provides engineering and/or technical expertise in site selection, design, construction, move-in through completion; coordinates facilities management program requirements with maintenance, janitorial, office services, real estate, design and construction, information technology and telecommunication services, and other service providers.
