Easter Hill Hope VI Redevelopment

For the rehabilitation, Cornerstone provided design review, planning, estimating and value engineering services to determine the optimal scope of work that maximized the use of the available funding. Cornerstone also helped the Housing Authority to prepare audit information for submittal to the HUD.

Role:

The Richmond HOPE VI Development Project consists of the Demolition, Public Improvement, Phase I Housing and Phase II Housing Contracts. The Project redeveloped the existing Easter Hill and provided 202 new units of rental housing. In addition to the main housing construction, a new community center with swimming pool was built and 36 existing rental units were rehabilitated. Cornerstone was the owner’s representative to monitor the construction progress and provided various construction management services including quality, cost, and schedule monitoring. Cornerstone was also instrumental to develop the scope, schedule, and budget for the rehabilitation of the 36 existing rental units.
